WELLFLEET FIRE-RESCUE STATION
 

The new Wellfleet Fire-Rescue Station opened in May, 2009 ahead of schedule and under budget at $5.5 million. The 18,000 s.f. facility houses three ambulances and seven fire vehicles as well as dormitory and crew quarters, offices, and medical treatment areas. It has a solar hot water system, radiant heat floor slabs and its exterior is maintenance free. Thermal insulation exceeds code by a factor of 3 in some areas. The building is prepared for a future Photovoltaic System.
